Un estudio parisino- A parisian Art studio

He realizado un estudio de artista en dos plantas. El interior es una escena doble y el exterior aporta un encanto con aires parisinos.

I've made an artist studio of two floors. The interior is a double scene and the exterior brings a charm with Parisian atmosphere.

Para realizar esta escena, primeramente he ensamblado tres tablones MDF para la parte baja y he cubierto el suelo de madera. He hecho una escalera de dos tramos. El de abajo con cartón pluma y madera, que guarda un pequeño armario en su interior, y el tramo de arriba sólo de madera.

To make this scene, I have first assembled three MDF boards and covered the floor with wood. I've made a staircase of two sections. The bottom with cardboard and wood, which keeps a small cupboard inside, and the top with wood.

Para hacer las paredes de ladrillo, he esparcido masilla plástica sobre papel para guach con una plantilla. Cuando ha secado he aplicado Alkil para que no se desmenuce y los he pegado a las paredes.

To make the brick walls, I spread plastic putty (used to fill wall cracks)  on a guach paper with a bricks template. When it has dried I applied Alkil (plastic varnish) so that it does not crumble, and then I have pasted the paper to the walls.

Con cartón pluma de 1 cm de grosor (Forrado con ladrillos por fuera y de madera por dentro) he montado la estructura de la derecha, la cual lleva una ventana inclinada y un trozo de pared vertical. Además, lleva unas bigas de madera que he pintado de blanco.

With 1 cm thick foamboard (lined with bricks on the outside and wooden inside) I have mounted the structure on the right, which has a slanted window and a piece of a vertical wall. I have also put some beams and painted white.

He colocado el techo de la primera planta. Por abajo está forrado de madera y por arriba madera y baldosines hechos con papel grueso pintado y con varias capas de Alkil.

I have placed the roof of the first floor, wich is lined with wood and tiles (those made with thick paper painted and with several layers of Alkil)

En las esquinas, por la parte de fuera, he aplicado con espátula masilla plástica directamente para disimular las juntas.

Outside on the corners, I applied plastic putty with a spatula directly to conceal the joints.

En la segunda planta, he colocado la pared del fondo de cartón pluma forrada con madera por dentro y que lleva una ventana.

On the second floor, I have placed the bottom wall woth a wondow, made with foamboard and lined with wood inside. 

Otra de las paredes, es inclinada y lleva una puerta que da al pequeño balcón y un ojo de buey.

Con cartón piedra les he puesto un pequeño tejadillo a ambos elementos.

Other wall is slanted and it has a circle window and a door to a small balcony, with paperboard I have put a small roof to both elements.

Para imitar las baldosas de pizarra, he aplicado masilla plástica con una espátula sobre papel para guach. He dado Alkil y después he pintado de negro. He vuelto a dar Alkil y antes de que secara del todo he aplicado polvos de talco para evitar brillos. Después he cortado las baldosas y las he pegado de abajo a arriba.
En la ventana inclinada de la planta baja, también he puesto pizarra.

To imitate the slate tiles, I applied plastic putty with a spatula on paper for guach. I have given Alkil and then painted in black. I returned to give Alkil and before it dried completely I applied talcum powder to avoid unnatural brightness. Then I cut the tiles and glued them from down to up.

He terminado de cerrar la estructura usando cartón pluma, forrado por dentro con madera y por fuera con cartón piedra. 

Para que el cartón piedra parezca de zinc, lo he pitado con una esponja y distintos tonos de gris, cuando ha secado he aplicado cera incolora y con sombras de ojos le he sacado unos brillos metálicos. 

I have finished closing the structure using foamboard, (lined inside with wood and outside with paperboard.

To make the paperboard looks like zinc, I have painted it with a sponge and different shades of gray, when it has dried I applied colorless wax and with shadows of eyes I got metallic shine.

Las paredes de fuera están hechas con masilla plástica aplicada con espátula. En una de las superficies he pintado un mural de un anuncio vintage de bicicletas, después lo he lijado y he envejecido toda la superficie con cera y sobra de ojos.

The outside walls are made with plastic putty applied with a spatula. In one of the surfaces I painted a vintage mural of a bicycle advertisement, then I have sanded it and I have aged the whole surface with wax and eye shadows.

He hecho una escalera soldada de alambre galvanizado que va desde el balcón hasta el tejado, pues mi idea es aprovechar la azotea para poner algunos detalles más.

I've made a wire ladder by welding that goes from the balcony to the roof, because my idea is to take advantage of the roof to put some more details.

He pegado estaño en la parte de arriba del tejado, tapando las juntas, y lo he pintado con esponja de con diferentes tonos de gris también. Además he rematado la parte de arriba de la escena con una moldura de madera, y he puesto una barandilla al balcón.

I have glued a strip of tin on the top of the roof, covering the joints, and I have painted it. I have also topped the scene with a wooden frame, and I have placed a railing on the balcony.

Una vez terminada la parte exterior, he comenzado a amueblar el interior. He puesto un lavabo hecho con cartón pluma recubierto con masilla plástica. Cuando ésta ha secado, lo he lijado y le he dado varias capas de laca de uñas transparente.

Once finished the exterior, I have begun to furnish the interior. I have put a washbasin made with  foamboard covered with plastic putty. When it has dried, I have sanded it and I have given it several layers of clear nail lacquer.

He usado una plancha de aluminio y con unas herramientas de modelado sobre una plantilla, he sacado los relieves. He pitado de negro con pintura mate en espray y cuando ha secado he pintado con rosa pálido pero aplicando cera en algunas partes para que quede con manchas. Después he aplicado laca de uñas y le he dado calor para craquelar la superficie.
Con un rotulador negro he dibujado pintas simulando que ha saltado el esmalte.

I have used an aluminum sheet and with some modeling tools on a template, I have taken out the reliefs. I paited black with matte paint in spray and when it has dried I painted with pale pink but applying wax in some parts to stain it. Then I applied nail polish and gave it heat to crakle the surface.
With a black marker I have drawn pints simulating that the enamel has jumped.

Con unos elementos de cartón de scrapbooking he hecho los hierros historiados que sujetan el lavabo.

Y con alambre y unas fornituras de bisutería he hecho la grifería y tubería.

With a scrapbooking cardboard element I have made the iron ornament to hold the sink.
And with wire and a few pieces of jewelry I made the faucet and pipes.

Como es el lavabo de un artista, he manchado con acrílicos de colores y un cepillo de dientes.

As it is the basin of an artist, I have stained it with colored acrylics and a toothbrush.

He pintado y envejecido los muebles intentando que haya mucho color, pero sin llegar a saturar.

Las alfombras y algunos cuadros están hechos por la sobrina de la dueña de esta escena, la cual a su vez es la autora de otros cuadros.

I have painted and aged the furniture trying to have a lot of color, but not saturating the space.
The carpets and some paintings are made by the niece of the owner of this scene, which is also the author of other paintings.
