With so many jewelry and miniature scenes, I have abandoned my house a bit, so I bought a untreated wood cabinet and customized it.
In this post I'll teach you how to make a wax decapé, but since the issue of wooden furniture customization is very wide, I recommend you visit this link where I explain the process to get the most common finishes. I'm sure you will find it very useful.
First I sanded the surface in the direction of the grain with extra fine sandpaper for manicure.
I have stained the wood in oak color and have applied Alkyl and gently sanded again.
I put small spots of beeswax in some areas, and I painted the furniture with white acrylic.
When the paint was almost dry, I cleaned the furniture with a cloth, so the area with wax was clean.
I did not like the transparent sides, so I put twolittle boards and painted in the same way.
Inside the closet, I left the dye oak colour. I also added shelves with polo sticks crafts.
I replaced the glass door with a plastic grid that I painted white.
I've placed it in the baroque scene to see better the effect.
