Calendario de adviento 2023- 2023 Advent calendar

 De nuevo me veo otro año más colaborando con Matxalen en su estupendo Calendario de Adviento y como tengo las miniaturas aparcadas por falta de tiempo, he estado un poco preocupada, pues no quería fallarle pero por otra parte no tenía tiempo material para hacer algo muy complejo. Aprovecho para agradecer a Matxalen su confianza y su esfuerzo todos los años para ofrecernos la posibilidad de aprender año tras año. 

Finalmente llegó la inspiración y os traigo un tutorial muy sencillito que espero que os guste. 

He realizado unos marcos que imitan esos cuadritos de latón y vidrio que se suelen usar para flores secas, cianotipias, dibujos etc. Al ser transparentes y tener un filo muy fino son livianos a la vista y pueden adornar espacios pequeños sin recargar el ambiente.

Once again I see myself collaborating with Matxalen on his wonderful Advent Calendar for another year and since I have put the miniatures on hold due to lack of time, I have been a little worried, because I did not want to fail her but on the other hand I did not have material time to do something very complex.

I take this opportunity to thank Matxalen for her trust and effort every year to offer us the possibility of learning year after year.

Finally inspiration arrived and I bring you a very simple tutorial that I hope you like. 

I made several frames that imitate those made with brass and glass that are usually used for dried flowers, cyanotypes, drawings, etc. They are light to the eye since they are transparent with a very fine metallic edge and can decorate small spaces without overloading the atmosphere.

He utilizado acetato transparente de un milímetro de grosor, resina de cristal que fragua con luz UV, una cadena fina, alambre, papel translucido e instrumentos de dibujo.

I used transparent acetate one millimeter thick, crystal epoxy UV curing resin, a fine chain, wire, translucen paper and drawing instruments. He cortado los marcos de diferentes tamaños y les he dado grosor en los bordes con la resina

He dibujado unas flores y plantas sobre un papel translucido procedente de las bolsitas de manzanilla porque está ligeramente teñido.

I cut the frames of different sizes and thickened the edges with the resin I drew some flowers and plants on translucent paper from chamomile sachet because it is slightly dyed.

He pegado las ilustraciones sobre celo y el celo lo he pegado a los marcos por detrás y cortado el sobrante al ras. 

I have glued the illustrations on transparent tape and I have glued the tape to the frames from behind and cut the excess.

He dado resina a los bordes para sellar y para dar volumen.

I applied resin to the edges to seal and to give volume.

Como la cadena más fina que tenía era de color gris, he pintado los filos de gris metálico y las cadenas las he pegado con resina de cristal también, al igual que el trocito de alambre que sirve para cerrar los cuadros.

Since the thinnest chain I had was gray, I painted the edges metallic gray and glued the chains with crystal resin too, as well as the small piece of wire that is used to close the paintings.

Para terminar he realizado una escena enlatada con todos esos cuadritos y algunas plantas secas y otros objetos.

To finish, I made a canned scene with all those little pictures and some dry plants and other objects.
