Un baño lleno de color- A bathroom full of color

Os sigo mostrando mi casa de muñecas.
Esta vez le toca al baño, que está situado en la segunda planta a la derecha.

I continue showing you my dollhouse.
This time with the bathroom, which is located on the second floor on the right. 

Los papeles de la pared son recortes de colores muy alegres que combinan muy bien entre sí. La pared del fondo al completo y parte de las laterales, llevan tablones pintados de blanco, dispuestos horizontalmente dándole una apariencia más moderna, aunque sin renunciar al aspecto rústico.
Hice con restos de maderas de colores, una tarima para colocar la bañera a más altura y darle así un poco de importancia.

The wall papers are bright colors that combine very well. The wooden boards arranged horizontally give a modern but also rustick look.
I made a wooden platform with coloured pieces of wood for placing the bathtub higher to highlight it.

La bañera es de un kit de Chrysnbon miniaturas que compré en una feria.
Al igual que hice en mi escena “Un baño de libro” he pintado primero la bañera con pintura en espray color cobre, y con una esponja de maquillaje, le he aplicado pintura acrílica marrón, verde agua, azul turquesa y algo de rojo y naranja en las zonas de más óxido.
En el interior también he pintado manchas de óxido (si es que no lo puedo evitar!! ;-) 

The bathtub is a Chrysnbon miniature kit.
Like I did in my scene "A bathroom by the book? " (I don't know how to translate it) I painted first the bath with spray paint in copper color, and then with a makeup sponge I have applied brown acrylic paint, water green, turquoise blue and some red and orange in areas to imitate rusty stains
Inside I have also painted stains of oxide.

Sobre ella, con madera y un ornamento de scrapbooking he hecho un soporte para poner los botes de gel.

On the bathtube, with wood and an ornament of scrapbooking I made a stand to put the shower gel.

Puse un lavabo moderno sobre una consola barroca pintada de blanco y envejecida, y sobre ella un espejo a juego.

I put a modern sink on a baroque console painted white and aged, and above it a baroque mirror.

Para colgar las toallas hice una escalera rústica con palos. 

To hang the towels I made a rustic staircase with tiny branchs.

De ella cuelgan algunos accesorios, un cepillo del pelo, un espejo, una cesta para el papel higiénico... (con rejilla metálica)

Some accessories dangle of there, a hair brush, a mirror, a basket for the toilet paper ...made with a piece of metal grid)

Sobre los estantes que rematan el friso de madera, he puesto unos botes de cristal coloreados con laca de bombillas disuelta en alcohol, recordando a los botes de las farmacias.

On the shelves, I put some pharmacy glass jars (painted with glass painting)

Dakota (o Sandra) de "La casita pequeña"  me dio la idea de poner algunas plantas más y pensé que ya que en la vida real se me mueren con facilidad, no estaría mal tenerlas en mi casa de muñecas para poder disfrutar de ellas sin remordimientos. Por tanto en una pared he puesto unas plantas aéreas enmarcadas.

Dakota (or Sandra) from "La casita pequeña" gave me the idea to put some more plants and I figured since in real life my plants usually die, why not have them in my dollhouse? I could enjoy them without guilty feelings. So there are two framed air plants on a wall.

Frente a la ventana, un lavabo antiguo de hierro sirve para poner una macetita con las preciosas plantas crasas que me ha regalado Dakota. Yo he hecho otra planta en una vieja lata (hecha con vitolas de botellas de vino que ya os enseñé a hacer en esta entrada).

Infront of the window, an antique iron sink serves to put the beautiful plants of Dakota. I also made another plant and placed in an old can made of metallic bands from wine bottles. ( I showed you how to do them in this post)

Al lado del lavabo, he puesto un hermoso bulbo de lirio en una cajita de té, regalo de Sandra también. (Gracias por tus preciosos regalos Sandra)

Next to the sink, there is a beautifull iris bulb in a tiny tee box, a present of Sandra too. (Thank you for your beautiful presents Sandra)

Para las otras ventanas he creado un jardín acuático en una bañera hecha con un bote de gel. Si queréis aprender a hacer esa bañera, visitad este este tutorial.

Dakota hizo este precioso topiario que por ahora adorna la entrada al baño.

Dakota made this beautiful topiary that decorates the bathroom entrance.

Sobre la bañera, he puesto un marco dorado y unos faroles para poner unas velas dentro. Están hechos de papel grueso.

I hung a golden framework and lanterns to put candles inside. They are made of thick paper.

Para adornar, he hecho una vidriera emplomada como las ventanas de la casa. He llenado unos botes de cristal con sal coloreada con tiza y cuentas de cristal para simular sales de baño. El conjunto de velas también es un regalo de Sandra

To decorate, I made a stained glass leaded windows and I filled a glass jar with colored chalk and glass beads to simulate bath salts. The group of candles are also a present from Sandra.

Como pudisteis ver en otra entrada sobre personalizar muebles, he pintado el mueble del baño buscando esa imagen de mueble desvencijado y recuperado. Le he añadido algunos enseres de baño y unas conchas diminutas.

As you could see in another post that I wrote about customizing furniture , I painted the bathroom cabinet looking for the apearance of a recovered old piece of furniture. I added some toilet details and tiny shells

Para terminar, una alfombra de papel ricamente adornada, que procede de una tarjeta de felicitación de mi boda que guardé con mucho cariño. (Gracias Paula y Michael)

Finally, a richly decorated paper rug that come from a greeting card of my wedding that I kept with love. (Thank you Paula and Michael)

Pensión Glicinia- Pension Glicyne

Hoy traigo una escena con dedicatoria.
Es 1 de Mayo, felicidades a todos los trabajadores, sobre todo, si el trabajo que tenéis os da para vivir dignamente, también está dedicada a los que teniendo trabajo no llegáis a final de mes, a nuestros licenciados universitarios que ponen copas en el extranjero, a nuestros mayores que vuelven a sacar adelante a las familias con sus míseras pensiones... y por su puesto, a aquellos que estáis desempleados.
Os deseo muchísimo ánimo y suerte en vuestros proyectos.

Today I bring you a scene with dedication.
It is May 1, Labour Day, congratulations to workers, especially if the work you have gives you the possibility of living with dignity; it is also dedicated to those who having a job do not make ends meet; to our graduates that serve drinks abroad, our elders returning to provide for their families with a paltry pension … and specially to jobless.
I wish you encouragement and good luck in all your projects.

He representado un rincón de París a mediados del siglo pasado, donde crece una hermosa glicinia que da nombre a esta pensión familiar.

The scene represents a corner of Paris, in the middle of the last century, where a beautiful wisteria grows and gives its name to this family guesthouse.

Lo primero que hice fueron las escaleras. La estructura es de cartón pluma, y le he dado masilla plástica alrededor. Cuando ha secado he puesto los peldaños de madera y le he dado gesso a toda la estructura para pintarlo después.

The first thing I made were the stairs. The structure is foam board, and it is civered with plastic putty. When it has dried I put the wooden steps and I painted with gesso the whole structure and then painted.

Para darle profundidad a la composición, la pared de la puerta principal está hecha con cartón pluma de 1 cm, donde he abierto los vanos de la ventana y la puerta. En la de la otra pared he trabajado igual, pero directamente sobre el tablero MDF sin abrir vanos, pues la ventana va a parecer tapiada.

The wall whith the door is made of 1 cm foam board, on the other wall I have worked in the same way, but directly on the MDF because the window will appear boarded.

He pegado perfiles de madera imitando ladrillos, y distintos adornos en la pared, después he aplicado masilla plástica por algunas zonas y gesso por otras.
He pintado con esponja, y para proteger el color, un par de capas de alkil y polvos de talco para eliminar brillos.

I glued some wood pieces imitating bricks and ornaments, then I applied plastic putty on some areas and also gesso.
I painted with a sponge, and to protect the color I applied a couple of layers of plastic varnish and talcum powder to remove shines.

En la parte inferior de la fachada hay un tragaluz al cual he añadido una fornitura de bisutería a modo de reja historiada. Para fijar la reja he usado alambre y soldadura en frío de dos componentes.

At the bottom of the facade there is a skylight which jewelry filigree. To set it I used wire and cold welding glue of two components.

El suelo lo he trabajado con masilla plástica y una plantilla imitando losas de piedra. He pintado de negro y grises y una vez seco alkil y polvos de talco.

The floor is made with plastic putty and a template imitating stone slabs. I painted black and gray and when dry Alkil and talcum powder.

He pintado de oscuro la parte donde iba a estar los cristales para dar sensación de profundidad, y he montado los tres tableros MDF.

I painted dark those areas behind the glasses of the window and the door, to suggest depth. I have assembled the three MDF.

Para hacer la ventana y la puerta, he usado acetato de encuadernar, que es algo translúcido, lo he separado del fondo oscuro para crear la ilusión de espacio.

To make the window and door, I used binding acetate a bit translucent, I have separated it from the dark MDF surface to create the illusion of space. 

He pintado la madera de forma irregular de beige y he aplicado betún de Judea con cera para envejecer y sombra de ojos para patinar algunas zonas. Después he pegado las escaleras en su sitio

I painted the wood beige and I have applied bitumen wax for aging and eye shadow to darken some areas. Then I glued the stairs

Soldando distintas piezas de alambre galvanizado he realizado la barandilla de la escaleras. Para darles forma curva, os ayudáis de una tabla que colocáis encima y vais sacando el alambre y doblándolo poco a poco.

Welding galvanized wire I made the railing of the stairs. To get the curve form, you can help you with a board over the wire and bending it gently. 

Una vez hechas las barandillas, les he puesto un adorno de bisutería arriba, y las he pintado con pintura negra en espray y después he añadido los efectos de óxido con pinturas acrílicas.

I have set an ornament jewelry on the railings, and I painted with black spray paint and then I added the effects of rust with acrilic paintings.

Para hacer el voladizo metálico he forrado una madera con estaño y le he colocado pequeños listones de madera que también forrados. He pintado a esponja y protegido con akil.

To make the building's corbel, I have lined a peace of wood with tin and I have placed small wooden slats also covered with tin and painted with acrilic paint and a sponge. Then I protected it with acrilic barnish.

He hecho con un pequeño taladro, unos agujeros en el suelo y he pegado los pasamanos con un adhesivo fuerte.

 I made two holes in the floor and in the wall, and I glued the handrails with a strong adhesive. 

He añadido algunos detalles como el timbre de la puerta, el pomo, el número de la casa, unas macetas, un gato, el correo... y la glicinia de la derecha.

I added some details such as the doorbell, the handle, the number of the house, two flowerpots, a cat,  the post... and the wisteria on the right.

Para hacer la glicinia he utilizado unos trozos de alambre fino de una botella de vino, forrados con papel verde de hacer flores. He pintado a esponja un folio de color malva por los dos lados y otro de verde.

To make the wisteria I used a few pieces of thin wire from a bottle of wine, covered with green paper to make flowers. I havepainted two sheets of paper in mauve and green. 

Con unos cortadores de flores de distinto tamaño, he cortado muchas flores y las he humedecido y tratado con dos herramientas de bruñir estaño. También he hecho pequeñas bolitas de papel para las puntas.

With some flowers paper punch of different sizes, I cut many flowers that I moistened and treated with two burnishing tools tin. I have also done little balls of paper to the tips.

He pegado las bolas, después las flores pequeñas y después las grandes, haciendo racimos de flores a ambos lados de cada alambre.

I glued around the wire the small paper balls first, then the little flowers and finally the bigest.

El tronco de la glicinia está hecho con alambre más grueso forrado y pintado, y de él cuelgan los racimos de flores atados con papel verde, aprovecharemos esos nudos y lazos para colocar una a una las hojas verdes de la planta.

The trunk of the wisteria is made of thicker wire lined and painted, and he hung bunches of flowers tied with green paper, we will use these knots and bows to place one by one the green leaves of the plant.

El macetero está hecho de cartón, forrado con masilla plástica y con un adorno de goma eva hecho con un cortador. Después pintado con gesso y pinturas acrílicas.
La parte de dentro está llena de masilla negra de secado al aire y en ella he clavado varios grupos de flores.

The big pot is made of cardboard, covered with wall plastic putty and an ornament made with a paper puch . Then painted with gesso and acrylic paints.
The inside is filled with black putty air drying where I glued several groups of flowers.

He usado una lámpara comprada con una pila incorporada y la he oxidado un poco con acrílicos. Vienen sin cristales, de modo que le he puesto unos acetatos y he simulado que uno de los cristales estaba roto.

I used a Led lamp previously oxidized with acrylic paint. They come without panes, so I glued four plastic sheets, one of them pretend to be a broken pane. 

Alguien ha venido en bicicleta con un ramo de flores y una bolsa con pan, vino y unas verduras, mientras el gato de la pensión no quita ojo a la bolsa.

Someone came cycling with a bouquet of flowers and a bag with bread, a bottle of wine and some vegetables, in the meantime the cat stares at the bag.
