Escenas infantiles I- Children's scenes I

Os traigo un proyecto sencillo y bastante vistoso, pues lo he realizado en el interior de unos estantes que tienen forma de casita que están muy de moda ahora.
He hecho un par de escenas infantiles, para regalar a unas amigas que han sido madres recientemente.
La idea era representar los juegos infantiles sin resultar demasiado cursi.

This is a simple project but quite nice, because I have done it inside house-shape shelves that are very fashionable now.
I have done a couple of scenes that talk about children, because I've had two friends who have been mothers recently.
The idea was to represent children's games without being too cheesy.

La primera está hecha en la casita más pequeña, de modo que la complicacion está en que tenemos poco espacio para componer la escena. 

The first one it is made in the smallest house. So the complication is that we have little room to compose the scene.

He forrado la pared del fondo, con listones de maderas. La he pintado de blanco y con cera y betún de Judea he envejecido.
Con sombra de ojos he ensuciado aquí y allá. 

I lined the back wall, with strips of wood. I have painted it white and with wax and bitumen from Judea I get it dirty in some areas.
With eye shadow I have fouled here and there.

Sobre papel grueso, he aplicado masilla plástica utilizando dos plantillas. Una con forma de ladrillos y otra con forma de losetas.
Una vez secas, les he dado Alkil para que no se desmenucen.

On thick paper, I applied plastic putty using two templates. One of bricks and the other of tiles.
Once dry, I have given them acrylic varnish to avoid it to crumble.

He recortado algunos trozos del papel con la forma de los ladrillos y lo he pegado aquí y allá. Le he dado gesso a la pared con los ladrillos pegados para homogeneizar el aspecto.
En el suelo he hecho lo mismo con el papel de las losas, y además he pintado primero a esponja con marrón, gris y algo de verde.
A ambos lados de las losas, he pegado arena de playa y un poco de musgo por los rincones.

I have cut out some pieces of paper with the shape of the bricks and pasted it here and there. I applied gesso to homogenize the appearance.
On the floor I have done the same with the paper of the slabs, and I have also painted sponge first with brown, gray and some green.
I have pasted beach sand and a little moss in the corners.

Por fuera puse unas tejas hechas también con masilla plástica sobre un papel grueso, fijadas con alkil y pintadas de negro. Después con la técnica del pincel seco le he dado con blanco.

Outside I put some tiles made also with plastic putty on a thick paper, fixed with acrylic varnish and I painted it in black. Then with the technique of the dry brush I painted with white.

Para hacer la lámpara, primero hice los agujeros para los LEDs en una estrella de madera de manualidades y pegué una tira de papel grueso de 7mm de ancho siguiendo el contorno de la estrella.
La pinté de verde y le dí un poquito de cera para darle después con sombra de ojos y conseguir así una apariencia metálica.
Fijé los microLEDs y por detras puse otra estrella con un agujero en el medio por donde sacar los cables.
Este tipo de lámpara ya lo hice en “Una escena ”P”erfecta”

To make the lamp, I first made the holes for the LEDs in a wooden craft star and I pasted a strip of 7mm thick paper along the outline of the star.
I painted it green and gave it a bit of wax and eye shadow to get a metallic look.
I fixed the microLEDs and in the backI put another star with a hole in the middle for the cables.
This type of lamp I already did in "A " P "erfect scene"

Las sillas las compré por Internet, tienen las patas muy cortas, de modo que parecen asientos para niños.
Las pinté de blanco y con una esponja de maquillar pinté las manchas de óxido.

I bought the chairs online, they have very short legs, so they look like children's seats.
I painted them in white and with a makeup sponge I painted the rust stains.

Puse una estantería pequeñita que hice hace tiempo mientras aprendía a soldar. Si aún no habéis leído cómo soldar aquí tenéis el enlace.

Colgué algunos carteles antiguos, puse una pila de leña, macetas...

I put a little shelf that I made a while ago while I was how to weld. If you have not read how to weld here you have the link.

I hung some old posters, I put a pile of firewood, pots …

 Sobre una cajas de madera apiladas improvisé una mesa para el té.

¡Mirad al perrito sentado pacientemente esperando a que empiece esta merendilla!

On a stacked wooden box I improvised a table for the tea.
Look at the dog waiting patiently sitting on a chair to start this tea party!

En la próxima entrada os enseño la segunda escena que he construido dentro de otra casita más grande que ésta.
Por hoy casi he terminado.

Algunas cosas buenas- Some good things

En estos dos meses que he estado sin escribir en el blog han pasado algunas cosas buenas en mi vida, que me han impedido compartir nuestra afición por las miniaturas. Aquellos que me seguís por Instagram estaréis más al día, pero para los que no, os cuento: la primera cosa importante, y que ha supuesto estar cerca de cuatro meses sin hacer miniaturas, ha sido buscar, encontrar, comprar y mudarnos a nuestra casa tamaño 1:1.

During these two months that I've been without blogging, some good things have happened to me and I have not been able to share miniatures with you. Those of you who follow me by Instagram are in the know, but for those who do not, I tell you: the first important thing was to search, find, buy and move into our house 1:1 size., wich has meant to be about four months without making miniatures.

El mes de agosto lo hemos pasado básicamente transportando y vaciando cajas, dormitando por culpa del calor extremo, y cuando por fin nos hemos asentado, me he tenido que dedicar a estudiar portugués porque tenía exámenes de recuperación en septiembre. (Por cierto, gracias por vuestros ánimos. ¡Aprobé! ;-))

In Auguste, we have been basically carrying and emptying boxes, also dozing because of the extreme heat, and when we finally have settled, I have had to study Portuguese because I had a make-up test in September. (By the way, thanks for your encouragement messages. I passed it! ;-))

La casa cada día me gusta más y es una aventura decorarla sin apenas gastar dinero. (Tenemos muebles de segunda mano, que prometen mucho con una mínima intervención, por ejemplo esta cómoda que no me gustaba nada y con pintura a la tiza y unas flores pintadas ya parece otra cosa)

I like the house more and more, and it is an adventure to decorate it without money! (We have some secondhand peaces of furniture that promise much with a minimal intervention, for example, this chest of drawers, I did not like it so with chalk paint and some flowers painted it is OK)

El taller se me queda algo pequeño (pues si quiero que mi familia me visite, no puedo quitar la cama nido), pero si logro ser ordenada mientras trabajo, puede que sea suficiente.

I find the craft room a bit small, but if I can be organized while I am working, it may be enough. (The trundle bed must stay for multitudinous visits from my family)

Otra novedad, que se ha materializado en septiembre, es el precioso artículo que Deb Weislser ha escrito sobre mi trabajo en la revista American Miniaturist, donde por cierto, mi escena “Un porche Otoñal”,es portada este mes.

Another peace of new, which has materialized in September, is the touching article of Deb Weislser about my work in American Miniaturist magazine, where by the way, my scene "A Fall porch" is on the cover this month.

Hoy os voy a mostrar el salón de mi casa Liverpool.
Si recordáis, ya me he quejado antes de la disposición de la escalera, pues hace que la estancia parezca mucho más pequeña al ocultar la pared de la izquierda.

Today I'll show the Living room of my Liverpool dollhouse .
If you remember, I don't like the disposition of the ladder as it makes the room seem much smaller. 

No me cabía ningún sillón debajo, de modo que he hecho una chaise longe soldando alambre galvanizado, y le puesto un camafeo en el respaldo.

It did not fit any sofa underneath, so I made a chaise longe welding galvanized wire, and put a cameo in the back. 

Hice una puerta de madera que pinté de forma irregular con varios colores y craquelé. Le puse unos papeles de colores y la convertí en una consola con un espejo.
Combina bastante bien con la chaise longue y por ahora va a quedar así. Los preciosos cojines de crochet son de MiniGio. 

I made a wooden door painted irregularly with various colors and crackleled it. I put some colored paper and turned the door into a console with a mirror.
I think it combines well with the chaise longue. The precious crochet cushions are from MiniGio.

El sofá de nogal lo compré en Mundominiaturas y sobre él hay dos cojines de crochet de MiniGio
No estoy segura del estilo del sofá, dudo entre Luis XV, victoriano o quizás algo más tarde, (Si alguien lo sabe, ¿podría ilustrarme un poco?). De todos modos, como la casa es una locura de mezclas de estilos, creo que no queda mal.

The walnut sofa is from Mundominiaturas and on it there are two MiniGio crochet cushions from miniGio.
I'm not sure about the sofa style, I doubt between Louis XV, Victorian or maybe a little later, (If anyone knows, could enlighten me a bit?). Anyway, as the house has a crazy mixture of styles, I think it looks OK.

La mecedora Thonet fue una de las primeras miniaturas que hice soldando alambre, y cuyo proceso podéis ver aquí. El cojín de tela, es un regalo de DollhouseLitles.

The Thonet rocking chair was one of the first miniatures that I did welding wire, which process you can see here. The fabric cushion is a gift from DollhouseLittles.

La consola alargada es un mueble sin pintar que compré en Sophia Miniatures. La pinté de blanco y envejecí.
En esta entrada tenéis algunas transformaciones de los muebles de la casa.

The table console is unpainted furniture bought in Sophia Miniatures. I painted it white and agec.

La mesa de centro aún no me convence del todo en este ambiente, pero por ahora se quedará ahí. Está hecha con madera, imitando un palé recuperado. Hice un par de ellas y ésta es la que más me gustó. La alfombra está pintada con acrílicos.

The coffee table not convince me at all in this atmosphere, but for now it will stay there. It is made of wood, imitating a recovered pallet. I made a couple of them and this is the one I liked the most. The carpet is painted with acrylics.

El reloj es un primer intento que puede que retome más adelante pues por ahora no me entusiasma.

The clock is my first attempt by now but I will retake it again.

Las esculturas son cuentas de collar, o pendientes desparejados colocados sobre unos círculos de madera.

The sculptures are beads of necklace or unpaired earrings placed on wooden circles.

La mesa para el tocadiscos, es de Minismodernas. 

The table for the record player, is from Minismodernas.

Disculpad que las fotos no sean muy buenas. Tengo que comprar un trípode y habituarme a la nueva iluminación e intentar sacar el máximo provecho de ella.

Sorry for the photos because they are not very good. I have to buy a tripod and get used to the new lighting and try to make the most of it.
